I met Sandy on the Harry Stairway. It turns out that she lives along it. On this
particular day she had been to the grocery store and was on her way up to to retrieve
more groceries from her car. Her motto was something like: “park at the top and
carry down”. It is beautiful and serene living along some of San Francisco’s block(s)
long stairways. But there is a downside when it comes to carrying heavy and bulky
items to and from the car.
Also Sandy pointed out that the 19th stair (or about that one) on the Harry Stairway
is slanted. Watch the 4 minute slide show for more information (under the Photos
Sandy is associated with Urban Safari. They feature off-the-beaten-track sight seeing
tours in San Francisco, Napa Valley, and New York City. One of their tour vehicles
was parked near by.
