Transportation
This section applies to people coming from the East Bay.
We urge you to consider taking public transportation.
You can accomplish this by first taking Bart to the 24th St. Mission station. Then take Muni Bus Number 48 to Clipper ST and Diamond Blvd. On Saturdays, in the daytime, a #48 bus is scheduled to stop every 20 minutes. Regular bus fare is $2; it is $.75 for those 65 or older.
This does not apply to the Fremont -
This will work for the Pittsburg/Bay Point -
It will also work for the Dublin/Pleasanton -
If necessary you can take the Richmond -
Here is an example:
You want to get off at Diamond Heights Boulevard. Do not confuse it with Diamond Street. They are two separate entities.
Click to view (and optionally print) map to illustrate these two separate thoroughfares

Click to view and and optionally print) the bus route back towards the assembly point
After passing Clifford Terrace, pull the cable running along the insides of the bus to signal the driver you want to get off at the next stop, Diamond Heights Boulevard. If you do this correctly a red light , up front and towards the ceiling, should indicate: stop requested. If this doesn’t happen, tell the driver you want to get off at the next stop, Diamond Heights Boulevard.
If you arrive early enough, we suggest you first go view the optional Clipper Terrace
Gardens. It is not on the way to the assembly point, but it is only a few minutes
walk from your bus stop. The bus stop for the return home is not so conveniently
located for this option. See TheHike-

After exiting BART at the 24th St. Mission station, go to the covered bus stop at the northeast corner of Mission and 24th Street.

Note that the (covered) bus stop to return home is in a considerably different location
from the one you arrived at. We borrowed the following map from the section: TheHike-

As a check point that you are at the correct stop, rest your mouse pointer on the adjacent thumbnail to see a photo of a road sign you should be facing.
